Answer» Hello people of the computing world!
If it is not too much bother, I would require a little assistance with my monitor. Here is the info:
My laptop SCREEN was broken, so I attached it to a small television (in- case you need to know it is High Def) So it is all well and good. I can use it like a screen, in FACT I am using it now. However, the problems start when I come to playing games. My favourite game is Battlefield 1942 (old I know ) I will start it up with no problems, however when the map starts to load the TV screen will no longer recognise there is a computer there and turn blue, then switch off. Unfortunately I don't have a clue as to what to do, so If you do have any ideas I would really appreciate them!
Regards, Rhys please provide important facts like :-
Make and model of laptop
Make and model of TV
How have you connected them together and what with.Ok, details:
Laptop is an old Compaq PRESARIO V5000. The TV is a Polariod TLU 19". They are linked up with a Belkin HDDB15 Cable, plugged into the VGA Slot.
Another interesting development: It seems to work with all my other games, including Battlefield Vietnam, which is the game DEVELOPED after Battlefield 1942. Is must be the game itself.
Regards, RhysThe game you are trying to play may require a different screen resolution than your TV has available. truenorthOk, is there anyway to fix that? Or does it mean a trip to my local FRIENDLY monitor shop? Does the games have any options to change the resolution?
Are their any 'recommended' settings / requirements on the games box?
Try changing the resolution on your PC to a 'lesser' one, then try it again!
