Answer» Help! I have just purchased a NEW v4dp/v4du motherboard together with a Sempron 2.8 cpu but I cannot get the computer to recognise the new cpu,any help/ideas PLEASE. What do you mean it will not reconise the CPU? Was the motherboard made for that CPU? Is the CPU old? Does you new motherboard currently have a CPU? It would be helpful to know how excatly it doesnt reconise your CPU if the motherboard is new. What pieces and Parts does it have?The board and cpu are COMPATABLE but on start up the bios shows the cpu as an athlon 1.2.Both items are newSome motherboards, even THOUGH compatible with a Sempron require the BIOS to be updated. Check with the motherboard manufacturer.
