Solve : New Motherboard, sound only comes out of center and read right...HELP?

Answer»

Hey all i just GOT a new Computer, i got a foxconn p35 mars motherboard and a Q6600 Quad core. Everything works great the AUDIO is on board.

So i have 5.1 speakers and i plugged green to green. orange to orange, etc.

when i plug everything into the back i get sound out of center and sub. And out of the rear right. But thats it, i get no sound out of the front left or right or rear left.

I know the speakers are fine because i plug into the headphone jack with the green plug and they all work fine.

I have done a bios update, re-done the drivers from 2 different places twice. and tried every other plug i can even think of.

I checked all windows settings i know of with volume control and other things, but i jsut cant get it to go. Please help me if anyone has any ideas.

Forgot to mention i have windows vista UltimateHave you tried adjusting the speaker setup? (2.0/2.1, 4.0/4.1, 5.1, 6.1, 7.1, Headphones)

COULD be a number of things from a BAD chipset to bad jacks.

Most programs have settings for adjusting the speaker output. Try the other modes and see if it's still causing PROBLEMS. If it is, the on-board sound chipset or the jacks might be bad (it happens) and I'd return that board.

Is the driver you're using specifically designed for Vista or is it an XP driver?yea i tried adjusting to 5.1

the driver is designed for vista, and when you say other modes do you mean like trying 2.1 and 4.1? if so i tried that also to no availThen the jacks are probably bad. I'd take it back.
