Solve : new PC won't start up? |
|
Answer» Okay, I recently built a computer with my friends and the computer won't start up. We cannot reach the BIOS. When we turn it on the LED power indicator on the monitor blinks, but it is not the monitor or the cord since we tried different ones that we know work. We thought it was the motherboard and sent back for a new one but that didn't work. Everything is HOOKED up CORRECTLY, i've checked it several times and so have guys who have fixed computers. All the hardware is BRAND new and the power supply is a 450 W and more than enough to give enough power. 450 W and more than enough to give enough power. Never assume a PSU is capable of delivering enough power by looking at the wattages alone. Is the motherboard touching the case? Have you tested all hardware components in another PC to see if they are all functioning properly? Quote Did you load the motherboard cdrom disk? There is no magical cure on the motherboard CD. They are drivers. Occasionally, the CD can function as a recovery CD. It will not help when nothing appears on the screen. Where did you get this idea from, Merlin? Quote The question i asked is for the poster? And I asked you a question. Do we need to repeat the same story over and over again? Just answer the question and I'll get off your back. |
