Answer» This PC upgrading is more complex than I expected !! I bought a new video card so my kids could experience better gaming then found out that I needed to upgrade the power supply. Challenge is I can't find a 300W supply that fits the small form factor PC - dimension needs to be 80mm x 80mm x 185mm
Any ideas ?
Thanks CliveWhat video card did you buy? And are you sure that 300W is going to be enough for it? (just covering the bases) If you can't find a PSU that fits that particular case, new cases are not that expensive. You can find some for as cheap as $20. That might be easier to find a power supply for. But I'll do some checking and POST back with some results. Thanks for your response. As we only have PCI I bought a XFX FX5200 card which STATES on the box that it requires a 300W PSU. I have an old IBM case I was looking to use as an alternative but the motherboard of the Siemens PC won't fit it so I'm now heading towards building a new PC - something that I believe is beyond my current skills ! Replacement PSU preferred fix if possibleYou NEED a micro-ATX PSU... Try newegg.comYeah, after I posted I realized I forgot to ASK if it was a Micro ATX or ATX. Good call Patio!
