but list your pc specs and one of the pros will tell you what you need most ! Get a new CPU, new motherboard and new graphics card. But not that CPU and board, they're older technology, not good performance, and expensive.Right. Change of mind. What motherboard will work with the Intel E6600 duo. And were can I get one cheapAny Socket 775 motherboard that support Intel Core 2 Duo will work with the E6600. Here's a good board that SUPPORTS Core 2 and SLI.INTEL Pentium D 6.0Ghz & 4MB L2 Cache << not true no such thing *
Pentium D 6.0 gHZWill this one work. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Intel-Socket-775-PT890-775SE-MOTHERBOARD-LGA775-1066MHz_W0QQitemZ230163835285QQihZ013QQcategoryZ108978QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem And if it does, will my OLD processor still work with it, because I may not be able to bye them both at once
Of topic, how do you have writing as a link, insead of having the link ThanksExactly, but in the minds of Ebay sellers 3GHz dual core --> 6GHz dual core. Quite how they work that out I don't know, but it's a VALID point. I overlooked it - too used to just halving the speeds all the time to get past that. Edit: yes, that board will work fine with either processor. And to have writing as a link, use {url=yourlink.com}your text{/url} and replace { with [, } with ]. Hope this helps. Thanks Calum, Big help as always. I'll get my computer person to fit the motherboard, and I'll bye the processor when I can
Thanks again, everyone who helped me ByeYou're welcome. Feel free to post back if you need more info and advice.I've brought the motherboard and it should be coming soon.
