Solve : New processor vs New Computer?

A couple years ago I PURCHASED a cheap computer for basic word processing with a AMD C-50 Processor 1.00 Ghz.  It obviously runs pretty slowly.  Would it be cheaper to just buy a new laptop or a new processor?  I'm using the computer for basic INTERNET, email. and MS office for work.

ThanksIn some cases the laptop CPU speed has LITTLE to do with Internet speed.  But you may be more confident with anew machine.
What kind of budget do you  have?
Some nice brand new laptops are now  in just at $300.

BTW: New laptops will come with either Windows 8.1 or Windows 10.
I think you should buy.   You would have to replace the machine as the processor is not upgradeable.
