I went to a local computer shop to have memory increased (was 64 added 256). Now it freezes on the internet. Store says the ram was tested and fine, did a hardware diagnosis everything is fine. Running just 256 it freezes but not with 64. Is there any setting on the computer that may need to be adjusted???If you still have warranty on your new RAM, go back to the store and explain them your problem?When buying a RAM not only the CAPACITY but also the type and the speed matters. Two types of memory is mostly used: SDRAM AND DDR-DRAM.The speed varies from PC66 to PC450 and beyond. The speed should agree with the FSB. Check your manual to see that the new memory satisfy the specification in the sytem's manual.

the sites varied but there was a few that it would happen every time (chrysler.ca, ticketmaster.ca) to name a few. almost always the homepage would work but it froze my computer once.Scan for viruses, trojans and spyware.
