Answer» Looks amazing! Sure you'll agree even if you're not a Trekie. Nobody else here cares about this movie? I saw this trailer when it first came out, LOL I didn't realise there was a topic on CH on it. This one would surely kick *censored* with modern graphics. how the heck did I forget good old spock- well let's see here, there are several obvious candidates. 1. a small bobblehead figurine This would be the cheapest. whenever spock speaks some other member of the cast sets the bobble head in motion. The camera stays fixed to it until it stops, at which point the other cast MEMBERS will generally agree with the unsaid logic that would have been presented. This also saves money for the writers, since they don't need to research anything to make up a believable logic circuit. 2. clips from previous movies/episodes Also a money saver- instead of actually having a person play spock they could just cut and paste bits of other movies as appropriate. For example whenever they ask him about something while offscreen it could simply show the portion of the movie where spock is dying in that chamber and puts his hand against the glass and gives the SYMBOL. 3. Arnold Schwarzenegger yes I know, two people played by the same actor? Actually, it would be cheap as well. just have him don some ear prosthetics and scamper over to wherever spock is. that would make for an amusing show in my book. "kirk" asks spock something, runs over to "spocks" location, grabs the ear prosthetics, replies, takes them off, runs back to the captains chair, etc. etc. 4. Al Gore Constantly bringing up the issue of universal warming, Spock will constantly try to convince everybody to plant trees on the moon and collect soda cans from the moons of jupiter, namely Io. Of course being that they are supposed to be exploring the galaxy they might find their funding cut after the federation realizes they've been lolly-gagging around the moons of the solar system fruitlessly planting trees on lifeless planets. 5. John goodman another money saving move, which WORKS better since scotty and spock won't generally appear in the same scenes, easing logistics concerns.Of course, perhaps I just want to see him with POINTY ears. Also seeing spock consuming a whole turkey would somehow be amusing.wow ! I think it looks great. Hope I can see it when it comes out. I do not think that the CHARACTERS will be the same due to different people playing the parts but also more then 50 yeears later the times have changed and the "style" of movie making has changed with it like more violence, more extreme action, etc.Early review of movie |
