Solve : new to perl?

I am brand new at learning perl and all is going well (thank God!) but I am hopeful SOMEBODY can show me how to open a picture while in the c shell with a perl program.

DianeIs there anything in the Perl RESOURCE Website? You can look in the library for online tutorials.By any chance... Is this for homework or a job INTERVIEW?NEITHER...just fun. Plus I THOUGHT I'd help my newborn 6 month old out in the near distant future (6 -8 years!) !!
