Answer» I was seeing horizontal lines and some things not showing on monitor. Then errors when booting up. I couldnt do anything unless in safe mode.
I installed a GeForce 6200 OC. The lines went away for a week, now they are coming back. Also, I didnt remove the OLD card, I disabled it. I cannot get the monitor to work when plugged into the new card, but it works plugged into the old card even THOUGH I disabled it in device manager. The computer is recognizing the new card and I have updated drivers. I also trouble shooted the monitor, it seems to be working properly.
Any suggestions as to why I am seeing lines again and why I cant plug the monitor into the new card?
Thanks, Deb
Dell Dimension 9150 Windows XP Pentium D CPC 2.66 GHz 1.00 GBwe need the specs on the old card. how is it that you are able to install a new card without REMOVING the other?I am very new to this so speak s l o w l y and no big words.
In my Device Manger it says...
Display and Adapters
Radeon X300 SE 128MB Hyper Memory PC Slot 10 (PCI bus 1, device 0, function 0)
Radeon X300 SE 128MB Hyper Memory Secondary PC Slot 10 (PCI bus 1, device 0, function 1)
Both have a Red X through them.
My new one says...
Ge Force 6200 Location PCI Slot 5 (PCI bus 5, device 4, function 0) It says it is working properly
Does the Function 0 mean its not RIGHT??
I wasnt sure if I could take out the old one. I couldnt find Slot 10 inside the computer. So I wasnt sure where it was. Will the old one look like the new one? The big card with the printer plugged into it??
