Answer» So, 2 days ago, my girlfriend and I moved into our own apartment. The night before we moved, I was using my computer and everything was fine. The next day, I took it all down and packed it up like I've done many times before. I put the TOWER on the floor of the back seat of my car. Last night, I attempted to set everything up in the new place, but I wasn't getting a picture on my monitor; the light was staying orange. I tried everything, including: Using the VGA cable on another device (worked), replacing the DCIM-to-VGA CONVERTER (didn't HELP), switching back to my old video card (still no signal), using my monitor on her laptop (works fine), and nothing has helped at all. I have a Dell XPS 410 with Win XP. My current video card is a PNY 9800 GT 1024mb. My only guess is that this is a motherboard problem, and I'm probably going to be better off buying a new computer. Now you know why assembled computers are shipped in large boxes with plenty of polystyrene surrounding them. Yeah, everything is connected PROPERLY. You can buy a new Dimension 9200/XPS 410 motherboard for $80 but if you are getting keen on buying a new system, don't let me stand in your way!
