Solve : No display.? |
| Answer» LATELY my screen keeps going BLANK. All indicator lights is still on and i can still hear the CPU fan. The LIGHT on the screen just went from green to orange. This is really frustrating because its either i press the ON BUTTON again or SWITCH the power point OFF the ON again to restart my PC. If the standby light on the display is coming on it means it is not receiving a signal to power up. This could be a problem with the video card, the display itself, or the power settings on your system. I'd check the last one first - go to Control Panel, Power Options and make sure the display is not set to power down after a specific period of time. Then you can try a different display and see if it has the same problem. If it does, the problem is obviously not the display itself.If this is a LCD monitor, it's possible the builtin power supply has failed or is failing......Seems to be a common problem, did you have any high pitch squeal from the monitor before it started to fail?...It sometimes will work fine for months before it finally dies.....I recently had a Samsung LCD do the exact same thing....and less than three years old......samsung replaced the monitor no questions asked under warranty,,...as Allan has said, replace the monitor with a known good unit and see if the problem is fixed. | |
