Solve : No keyboard, no mouse?

Answer»

Last NIGHT I was trying to get my ipod to work with my new PC (just switched from Apple), and was having no luck. I tried restoring the ipod and it after a couple of hours of the computer 'trying to restore" I decided to plug the ipod into another USB. That didn't work, but after I did that my mouse no LONGER worked. I shut off the PC and restarted and now my keyboard doesn't work either! I've tried restarting, checking connections and nothing works. All I get is a black screen with BIOS F10 etc. the LIGHTS on the keyboard flash once and then nothing.
Does anybody have any idea what I can do?Are the mouse and keyboard both USB devices also?Try unplugging the power to the computer for a minute or two.

Alan <>< And i'm really HOPING you didn't happen to unplug any of these devices while the machine was still running...otherwise we might be traveling to the "repair install of insert OS here "portion of our archives...
