Answer» Boy has it ever been a LONG time since I've been on here. I'd forgotten my password and everything. Well anyway, I'm currently (finally) enrolled in a computer maintenance course and I've encountered this gem of a QUESTION that not even the internet, otherwise KNOWN as Google, can answer for me. Why should you not dispose of computer parts and consumables in the same way as normal domestic refuse? I'd appreciate any insight on the matter, as my TEXT books are bloody useless and don't really cover what they're SUPPOSED to.My apologies! I continued my search and found a resource on the subject. This thread is now defunct.And for those who are mildly interested, the answer is to do with all the hideously toxic chemicals they use to make our beloved computers.
