Solve : No Respond From Hardrives Ect.?

Answer»

Well. i've been having a few problems lately with my computer which it is responding.

*started on pc
*comes to pages which checks memory , IDE *its laggs when it try detecting IDE*
*Next SCREEN DISK BOOT FAILURE, PLEASE INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER
-=
*My DVD + CD drive doesnt respond i have connected everything right in
*I just formated my hardrive so OS on it yet. its completly empty.

Please someone help me thanks if there is no operating system on the drive there cannot be a system drive to detect,
then you will get "boot disk failure"
put your windows operating system disc in the cd/dvd drive then boot the pc depending on the boot sequence the bios will eventually find a boot sequence on the cd and begin the reinstall of windows.

you may have to enter the BIOS to change the boot sequence if it is set for only the hard drive,
then set the sequence to cd/dvd ,C , A

ater after reinstalling change it back to C , D ,A

have you changed any jumpers,
if two drives are on one ide cable one must be set a slave the other as master,
if both are set as master none will show,
make sure that the ide cables and molex power connectors are firmly in the motherboard and the back of each drive,
also make sure that drive detection in the motherboard BIOS is set to autodetect drives.
it is also not a good idea to have hard drives and cd/dvd s on the same ide cable.

okay. i have TRIED that. i FORGOT something

i have PLUGGED all DVD drive. power+IDE cable. my dvd doesnt respond when i try to press eject button , but when i pull out IDE out and i press eject it works...

help? You have either damaged the IDE cable or managed to insert it upside down...try another cable.
And post more details on exactly what drives you have and how you have them hooked up before we can assist further...
Example: i have 2 hard drives on IDE1 jumpered as master and slave and a DVD on IDE2 as master...etc.
