Answer» My computer lost sound couple of weeks ago.
I did some research on my own, but none COULD solve my problem.
1) Speakers work on my other computer. 2) They're properly connected to my computer. 3) When I go to 'Audio devices' in control panel, it says I don't have any audio device, (the whole thing is 'gray', inactive, unclickable..etc..) 4) I can't even ACCESS volume control, since when I try to open it, it says that I need to GET a sound device first. 5) I FOLLOWED the stickied post and tried UPDATING my sound device, but found out that I had no sound card.
But if I have no sound card, how come I heard sound perfectly before? You dont need a sound card to listen to sound. You most likely have onboard/integrated sound. You'll need to install/re-install the drivers for your computer.Make certain the soundcard is not disabled in the BIOS.
