Solve : No VDU during  DOS startup?

A P3 winXP Pro with Maxtor card G200 AGP.
Intel destop MB VC820
I have no VDU during startup.
VDU turns on (light from orange to green on monitor)when XP takes over.
This means I am UNABLE to make CHANGES to BIOS.
Any suggestions?Never mind.
A replacement MB fixed the problem.
