Northstar built their laptop with an external battery, and when the COMPUTER stop working, most people replace the battery. Before doing anything else, look in the end of the POWER suppy connector, a 4 pin DIN. The crimp on the cordset is not as tight as it sould be and the pin assy will slide back in the connector causing the PS not to make contact with the female battery connector, and while it is a pain to TAKE the plug apart and RESEAT the pin assy, it is a lot cheaper than replacing the PS.Quote
