Answer» I've got a : Acer Aspire 1690 WMLi notebook with a s-video jack.
I have connected a s-video cable to the notebook and the s-video jack to our tv and flipped though every channel and can't find the video clip playing.
We looked through the user's manual and couldn't find anything that was helpful.
Do I need to enable something?
[glb] [/glb]Look in the manual again under the Fn key functions. It doesn't explain how to view it on the tv.

Why Does S-Video Not Work?
To use S-Video, resolution must be set to 800x600 or 640x480.
S-Video will not be active after a REBOOT. You will need to re-enable it to use it.
S-Video will ALSO be disabled after the UNIT resumes from hibernation, and is not accessible using the Fn+F5 toggle switch.

Change TV input to "video in". Look through the TV manual. Kellee
I connect my laptop to the TV with a s-video cable.
The setting on the TV set for our TVs is AV2 ... NOT a "channel".
Look for the AV settings on your TV controller. You will have to go through those.
Good luck!
