And to think it all started when I went to edit some of my HTML documentation...You do KNOW it can infect .htm files as well?

Oh, and if you're running Dr. Web CureIt!, a good TECHNIQUE is to rename it to launch.com instead of .exe. This will stop Virut infecting it, if it is still on the system.

Also, Avira was detecting the HTML malware. easy FIX- delete the iframe line.
