Solve : old school question-graphics? |
|
Answer» Just replaced my hard drive on my old thinkpad i 1400 series model 2611-412 with a new one. Problem is that my display is now only a standard pci graphics adapter with only 2/16 colors and only 640x480 mega pixels! I used to have good graphics with my old hard drive. How do I change this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks.have you installed the latest graphics drivers for your card?not even sure what card is in the laptop. The specs say it's svga??How did you install Windows on the new hard drive, by using a Microsoft CD or a Restore CD from the computer manufacturer? If the latter, it should have the video drivers on it. If the former, you need to visit the computer manufacturer's website and download the DRIVER. Might be a good idea to do that in either case, to get the latest driver.driver for what? not even sure if there is a card or it is integrated. Just says svga. Also can't find drivers?Doesn't MATTER whether it's a card or it is integrated, you need a driver for your display adapter. Where did you look? Check the IBM CD that shipped with the MACHINE...Look on the bottom of the laptop and post the machine code there. It is a 7 digit COMBO like xxxx-xxx. Then we can point you in the CORRECT direction. |
