Solve : onboard video card?

Answer»

i just got a hp d220 mt and need to know if there is a on board video card when i try to play a game evreything works but my screen stays black i can still see my mouse pointer but with a black screen or can i add a video cardif you type dxdiag in the run BOX it should tell you?You are saying that after ADDING a "HP D220" your games no longer function? How it going Randy,

I looked into it a little furture for ya, and according the the HP WEBSITE,http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/11709_na/11709_na.HTML it looks as though you only video card upgrade option would have to use PCI technology.  Before spending any monies, you should check to make certain you can switch the video signal from 'onboard' to pci in you SYSTEMS BIOS.  Then, if your going to be playing ALOT of video games, have a look at this link http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000098PUF/qid%3D1094417502/sr%3Dka-1/zopindustries-20 .  But whatever you choose you'll need to use PCI in your system.
