Solve : One drive is full, how do I active the other??

Answer»

A few months ago I bought a new Toshiba Satellite laptop, and so far have been really HAPPY with it (except for Vista compatibility issues with some software). It has two INTERNAL hard drives, 110 GB a piece. I have a lot of songs and pictures, and have almost filled up one of the drives. I am getting warnings about being LOW on hard disk space. A disk cleanup solved the problem for now, but that is just a temporary solution. How do I GET the computer to recognize/allow me to store things on the second DRIVE?

Thanks for your time, any advice is extremely appreciated!Hi which model do you have? can u go in to my computer, is the disk registering
can you get in to it? It's a Satellite A 1350 (I think that was the model number), and the primary drive is Toshiba but the second (empty) one is Hitachi. It shows both of them in the "My Computer" window, but I don't know how to save anything to the second one.
if the drive is unformated then right click the cursor, format as ntfs it probably will become "E" if you already have a dvd claiming the "D"

then on the first drive "c" select a file, right click, copy, then move cursor to the second drive, left click, then left click, make a new folder, name the folder, the click on the new folder, then paste the file into it.

The drives can also be named as well as lettered A,C,D,E,F
