Solve : one mouse operating two computers?

Answer»

I wonder if anyone has an idea of how to operate two computers with one mouse. I TEACH courses and use Powerpoint for my lectures. I want to have a brief (short version) set of Powerpoint slides on one computer that is projected to the students in the classroom and another more detailed set of slides on my laptop in front of me. Both computers will have the same number of slides PER lecture and I want to advance each with one mouse. Can this be done or do I NEED a separate mouse for each computer? Not sure, but I don't think it's possible.

If you're using a mouse to move through Powerpoints, you can use the arrows on keyboad, which I think is easier.Set your laptop screen, and the other computer monitor as dual monitor, so you can have one windows displayed on your laptop, and a different window on the second monitor.Quote from: Broni on December 10, 2008, 08:20:09 PM

Wait, sorry. I misread your post. I THOUGHT you said you can use one mouse for each monitor. Yes. You can use one mouse for both screens.
Maybe, I wasn't clear enough....obviously both displays have to be connected to the same video card.
