Answer» Can I hookup one printer so that both computers can print off it? I am using a KVM switch for 2 computers, but it does not allow for a printer. However YES you can SHARE a printer with more than one computer.Go to your control panel and select "printers" and you will see an "allow sharing" option .Then you will need to define the printer on the 2 computers.truenorthThanksAltervative is to use Parallel or USB "A B Switch" if no networking is available.Parrellel switch would be better for sharing it. just install the drivers for the printer on each computer and hook up the parrellel cable from the printer and the two COMPS to the switch and there yea go. |
