Solve : One screen, two computers???

Answer»

Is there perhaps a setup that allows a person to flip the screen, mouse, and keyboard between two computers? A switch box? That way I can work on both computers when I have only room for one screen.Hi FireMan,
Yes, it's called a KVM Switch. Do a search with any online p/c component vendor and you'll have your choice of many different switches with different video options. VGA, DVI-D, DISPLAY Port & HDMI. Most will work with wireless keyboard/mouse combos.Thank you.Backing up Term_ite, some think it best to get the electronic A-B switch rather than the mechanical A-B switch.  The electronic is more expensive, however, the mechanical's SOLDER "bumps" theoretically could possibly spread and eventually cause a SHORT or an arc which can lead to problems.  I had both, and never had any problems with either one.The temperature inside the KVM would need to get awfully hot (somewhere above 300F) for the solder to melt.  The same could be said for ANY electronic device.  Definitely not SOMETHING I would CONCERN myself with.
