Answer» on my old computer i use a ps2 mouse with e CONVERTOR jack that allows the ps2 mouse toi connect via a serial port the computer does not have a ps2 port that s why i'm using the ps2 to serial convertor. Hate to tell you...but...if it has no PS2 port...the computer is not even a Pentium 1. The mouse you just bought is worth more than the computer. Supply more info on computer (make, model) and what version of DOS and/or Windows you are using.computer - pentium 1 cpu - mmx 166mhz 64 meg ram yes i installed the drivers that came with the mouse i get the red light at the base of the mouse to light up but THATS as far as get to making it work. sorry i forgot to add windows 98 Are you certain you have no PS/2 port? It may be black rather than the colour of your mouse's plug.It should be the port directly above the keyboard port. If it's a tower, it's to the SIDE. |
