Solve : Other printer spooler problem?

Answer»

I have a friend that has a similar problem. They are running Windows xp pro and suddenly can not print. In checking the services the print spooler was found to be stopped. I tried to start the service but it would not start. Rebooted, tried again, no luck. UNINSTALLED and reinstalled the printer, still no luck.

What can you do to start a service that does not want to start?how did you try to start it?Tried RIGHT clicking, chose properties, MADE sure the startup type was automatic and clicked the start button.

tried right clicking and selecting start

SELECTED print spooler, clicked action and selected start

prayed at it

cursed at it

refrained from kicking it as it was not my machine.

multiple reboots, regular and SAFE mode.

any ideas?Quote
