Solve : over heated computer??

Answer»

last summer my computer crashed one hot night. and havnt been able to turn it on after the fact. i thought at first it was my graphics card because the fan on it was not spinning and was getting hot so i CHANGED it. didnt fix the problem, the computer is beeping non stop and i looked it up and it is either the ram not in properly or the mother board. any ideas how i can figure out what i need to replace. or is it toast?  PULL the vid card and use the onboard graphics...that'll eliminate or confirm if it's the card at fault...i just did, didnt work. the first video card was shot but that cant be my only problem. iv added a new one and it works for sure iv tested it on my other computer.Id check the CPU make sure theres no BURN DAMAGE , if your entire rig has been overheating id personally check each individual bit of hardware for any signs of any damage what so ever. Make sure you've seated your ram CORRECTLY , change the banks if you can to rule out any damage to the slot.

Check the CMOS battery
Fans
Wiring make sure its all hooked up ok
