Hey im just checking to much sure the above cpu will work in my mobo ...... i bought it yesterday ..... my mobo is the asrock p4vm890 ....... thanks

cheers tony Ok i just put it in my computer and my computer is making a sqeeking sound , ive also just added and other stick of ram , its not a beeping sound , and it also sounds as if something is ratter ive done the usal, taken the chip out and wiped of some heatsink and reseated the ram.... its also showing up in computer hardware i have 2 cpu's 1st, the cpu came with a fan right? and heatsink?
2nd, where is the squeeking sound coming from?
3rd, CHECK the CPU temperature to make sure everything is ok.
4th the 2 "CPUs" means that the cpu has hyperthreading technologyok
no it didn't COME with a fan i have my own fans , and its a 478 fan anyway , 2 the noise its hard to pin point ......... it doesn't seem to be making it as much now , is it possible that the cpu is just settlings into my system.... ive never done much work of cpu's so this is a newer part of hardware to me....my cpus temp is 52 ...... 52 is okay.

52 celsius is 126 degrees fahrenheit.

Some people have them running cooler with better
case cooling fans and a better heatsink and fan.

Maybe your cpu fan is VIBRATING a little.Give it

Roberthmm..... i changed it over for a brand new fan ....... it doesn't seem to of made a difference ....... does it matter Robert , i mean if it is ...... i think your right though its my fan allright..... its this darn clips that put the fan it in a secure place there so hard to put down ....
