Solve : panasonic toughbook cf-c1 lost password?

Answer»

hi there ive got a panasonic TOUGHBOOK cf-c1 with intel i5 vpro, WINDOWS 7 professional installed. I have forgot the password at start up, i have tried everywhere for some help/advice. This isnt a normal windows password, its a password before even bios on these machines. can anyone please help me? You will need to take it to a Panasonic service center and be prepared to show proof of ownership.....
i have been in touch with panasonic and they said it will cost 90 pounds to sort. Thats ridiculous.Yep...Is that the only way it could be bypassed? if so then thanks anyway buddy.Unfortunately yes...

I have seen Panasonic Toughbooks. These notebooks are tough in every way, including tough to steal. They have a very special BIOS with something called "Computrace theft protection agent". They are often used by businesses where asset and data protection is vital. You would have known about this when you bought it, or could have easily found out by reading the user guide. Opening up a toughened notebook, removing the soldered BIOS and the onboard protection, replacing  and reassembling is not a trivial task. The security of the data on the machine and the traceability of the machine if it gets stolen is something that you paid for when you bought the machine. "Forgot laptop bios password" is quite a common QUESTION on here, and it is pretty obvious why we can't (read "won't") help.
On that note...
