Answer» I have just replaced a Packar Bell socket478 MOTHERBOARD with a asrockpavm890 motherboard. The problem is the panel connector on the Packard Bell CASE doesn't fit the the motherboard connector. The case connector is a block ive been told i can replace the block with individual connectors , but how do i identify which wires go to which pins on the new board. thanks in advance jhaddGrab the MBoard manuals from each manuf. website and compare the pin layouts...ive got the manual for the asrock board but not the Packard Bell socket478 columbia board deosn,t seem to be available now. Ive looked in a computer with the asrock board CONNECTED as BLACK and white wires connected to the RESET pins. orange and white connected to the hdled pins green and black connected to the power pins. nothing connected to the pins laballed pled. the Packard Bell board reading directly fromthe board appears to be PDG yellow PDY brown PWR none GND none SLP red GND none VCC grey CI none HD blue HD green GND white RST black VCC none IRRX none GND none IRTX none GND none i think ive read it right from the board hope this helps thanks jhadd
