Answer» after reformating my C drive is 3gb and D drive is 98gb also in D drive i still have all my old programs. i,m wanting to do a clean install of windows nothing left over. this is an emachine D3107So What is your question? How to format your computer? How to put the partitions together? I'm not REALLY sure what you want done. -Mike i wanting to format my computer and do a clean install of windows XP, i TRIED to do this but being new to formating i ENDED up with what i MENTIONED above. i want nothing but a fresh copy of windows . thanksBoot with the XP CD...in setup have it delete all existing partitions and create one large one...then continue with the setup.
