Solve : PC able to turn on, but no display? |
|
Answer» Hi guys, i'm able to get my pc running, all the COMPONENTS are running, however my monitor is not able to detect any signal. I've changed a new vga - analog connector and it didnt solve the issue. Which hardware shld i test next? My graphics card is only abt 1year + while my hard disk has been ard for like 5years +. I've changed a new vga - analog connector and it didnt solve the issue. 1. What do you mean by this, could you be more specific.. 2. Post your computer specs.. make/model (if OEM) 3. First thing to do is try another monitor, or plug your current monitor into another computer... This is to rule out your monitor being the problem.. You could also, try connecting the monitor to the onboard video adapter, if there is one. If that works, it would indicate a problem with your video card or the psu.. My motherboard is asus p5q se/r, CPU is CORE 2 QUAD, graphics card isXFX GF9800GT, and my harddisk is a old hitachi model tt supports SATAI've actually tried my it with another monitor, however there is still no display. Well you don't have another PORT to plug your monitor into, onboard. So, next thing (assuming you've tried another cable) you'll have to remove your video card, re seat it, try booting up again... If no joy, you'll have to find another psu of equal or greater wattage to plug into your computer, this will rule out the psu.. If this works, then it means you NEED a new psu, if not, then your vid. card has likely failed.. If you have another computer you can install the card into (with a sufficient psu to power the card) this is another option you can try.. If you have neither another psu or computer.. You can use a multimeter for testing the psu in your computer.. If you need help with that, just say so.Hey thx, it works fine aft reinserting my graphics cardeeexcellent...
