Answer» I have a pc that's about a year old. Recently I turned it on and there was no video. After pressing the 'reset' button, the pc reboots and all is fine. The problem is consistent. Every time I turn the pc off or go into 'standby' mode, the computer comes back on with a 'no SIGNAL' message. I have to power down and REBOOT to make the video work.
I have an ASUS mother board and a Nvidea Geforce 8500gt graphics card.
I downloaded and installed the latest drivers for the graphics card, but that did not help.
Any ideas?I have a similar pro :)blem. I just turn off the monitor, wait a bit, turn it back and and all OK.
Cane anybody explain this? I should note that the computer seems to be booting up. I can hear the Windows XP 'bootup music' but there is no video. 1) What happens when you boot to safe mode? 2) What happens with a different monitor? 3) How does your monitor work on a different system?Ok, I finally decided to try the easy stuff. I opened up the computer and reseated the video card. Viola' everything is fine.
Thanks for the assistance.
ScottAlways the best APPROACH... Good to hear you are fixed up.
