Answer» I am now at the end of my teather ..... after installing WINDOWS vista on my pc it restarts every once in a while with a blus screen of DEATH
saying something like "memory crash dump" then it proceeds to count to 100 (but very fast)
then restarts... this only happens with Vista and not xp can anyone shed any light on this please??

ther have been no hardware changes downloads or installs prior to this happening .. it has been like this from the board being new
it has been happening every since i bought the board about 2 months ago...
when i tried vista on it the same problem arose..
so i decided to go with xp insted.. which has been fine.....
it is only because i needed to give my pc a good clean and thoujght it easier to do a clean install
that i thought why not try vista again...but still the problem persists..
i did not have a dual boot on it when first installed vista... but currently since the past few hours i now have DB
it is a desktop custom built machine

MattSo now, you have dual boot, and when booting to Vista, the computer restarts, and when booting to XP, it doesn't?
How far does the boot go? Are you getting to desktop at all?
Please, post exact error message.
Same in Safe MODE?
Where did Vista DVD come from?
