Answer» Hey guys, Im back again. Some of you may remember me from a few weeks ago. Now, I took my computer down to the shop where we got it (Used) from. We told him the problem and when he looked inside, he saw that 3 of our capacitors had blown. He ordered the capacitors and installed them. We had also told him that our CD burner never worked from the start, so he took a look at it and said that to FIX it, they'd have to wipe and reboot and all that business. So he did. We got it back and its been working great but I noticed in that after I turn it off and go to sleep, when I wake up and turn it on again, it'll bring me to the XP loading screen with the blue bar. However that bar never fills. It just doesn't load. It freezes.
Now, when I turn off my xbox, it slowly turns off, shutting everything down. But when it freezes, I press the button and like instant its already off. Well, when I press the button on my computer, I dont even have to hold it, I press once and it shuts off just like my FROZEN xbox does. (I only use the button in this situation, other times I go to start > turn off etc etc.). After that, Ill restart and it'll bring me to the page where it says WINDOWS did not start properly and tells me to highlight and in 20 seconds it'll start.
I cant move to highlight ANYTHING, it just sits there on "Start windows normally" or whatever it defaults and in 20 seconds, it reboots and I can use it.
Its really a hassle but more so Im just worried. Should I be? What do you guys think is the problem? Do you think its an urgent fix? Do you guys have any info to help?I don't know what your relationship or warranty conditions are with your vendor however it must be becoming apparent to you that you were sold a dud.If you can return it and no more attempts at fixing it. Get them to provide you with a comparable alternative. Have them demonstrate it running with all it's functions before you leave the store. truenorthAt this point and all things considered i'd have to say truenorth has given you excellent advice...I agree. My patience with this company is being drained out.
We dont have any type of warranty and they wont fix it for free, so I guess Ill just have to deal with it. I mean the computer works fine except for that startup. We'll probably just keep it and deal with it until we can manage to save up some more money, in which my brother in law is going to help me find a better one.
Much APPRECIATION for the input though.
