Answer» I need help just with understanding 2. types of Ports Can a Femal DB 25 Pin Port also come in a MALE and still be a Serial Port? And can a Male DB 9. Pin come in a and a Female and still be a Seriale? Or do I have this mixed up??a DB-25 serial CONNECTOR IS male- it has 25 pins. a PARALLEL port is a 25-hole female connector. a DB 9-pin serial port will not be female on a PC. Remember that peripherals designed to connect to these plugs will be reversed. OK I gess I sould have asked this first When we just TALK about serial Ports do they come in Female and Male or just Female??? And what is the Most coman Pin number for serial Ports??
