Answer» When run from the recovery console, chkdsk /r always has one particular line at the end - you did not show that line.I am thinking the MOTHERBOARD is the problem. Try unplugging the hard drive and boot using a BOOTABLE floppy or CD. Perform a hardware intensive process. Wait..... Does it shutdown?I have a second hard drive I will try that with, running CHKDSK yet again at the moment, so cant get at that PCTried with a different hard drive, same issue.
