Answer» my PC will not boot up, but the light comes on naturally by pushing the button. See below.yes., SORRY that would help, i have an emachine, 2003, 2.4 hgz, 40gb hard drive space 512mb ram it is a w2646 model, the power supply has been replaced, and that is not the problem, i am hoping it is not the motherboardI would next remove all of the drives and any add in cards and see if it will boot with that. Unfortunately, motherboard would be the next step and that means your restore CD's will probably not work any longer as they search for an eMachine BIOS to load. How old is the machine? By 2003, that could refer to the age, but not sure on that. What power supply did you put in there, and was not powering up the reason for that CHANGE? Did anything happen prior to the difficulty? Power surge?
