Solve : PC66?

Answer»

I'm trying to add more memory to a Toshiba Satellite 2655XDVD. It has 64mb non-removable RAM ALREADY, max is 192mb. I looked on crucial, they told me that I needed PC66 SDRAM. My question is would I be able to use PC100 or PC 133? I'm THINKING not, but wanted to make sure.

Thanks! Some machines are VERY particular, so to be safe I would get EXACTLY what is listed. Backward compatibility exists in RAM, but not 100%. In laptops, nothing is for certain. PC100 would likely be a better match. Thank you, that's what I thought, however I can't REMEMBER if PC100 was around in 1999. That's how old the computer is.

I think I found her a KINGSTON Stick of PC66 for $14.99 which is better than $46.00. I will have to see what she wants to do.

Thanks for the reply
