Answer» Hello all,
Today I was bored and streaming the web when my mouse stopped working. It's laser light was still glowing. I restarted my pc and still nothing. I checked and it turns out it was the PCI simple communications Controller driver had been uninstalled. So I come out here and download the driver, take it back into my room and my keyboard was off. So I restarted again and since I have a system password, I am stuck at the password screen with a keyboard error. I have no way in. Borrow or buy a PS2 keyboard... BTW the device you MENTIONED driver is part of Windows and runs as a Service... When you get the keyboard you should go to Start/Run and type in sfc /scannow... Have your Windows CD handy as it will ask for it.I have a ps2 keyboard, however my motherboard has no ps2 connection capabilitiesPS2 to USB adapters are readily AVAILABLE. But if you have access to another USB keyboard that should be tried.truenorthAre you able to boot to SAFE MODE ? ?
