Answer»

i am in the market for a new vid card and
at my local best buy they have these two options

VisionTek - ATI RADEON HD2400 Pro 512MB DDR2 AGP Graphics Card

or this one

PNY - Verto NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS 512MB GDDR2 PCI Graphics Card

i know that agp is obviously better but i have heard some bad things about visionteks video cards
input is appreciatedIf you check @ newegg you will probably see a better selection of AGP cards...
Great service and some of the best pricing out there...I agree that you should look at newegg or tigerdirect. You should be able to get more for your MONEY. I have not heard of visiontek before so I cannot comment whether they are good or bad. I WOULD go with AGP if your only options are PCI and AGP.Geeks mite even be a better choice. Hopefully, that your board will support AGPQuote from: squall_01 on April 08, 2009, 12:17:30 PM

What Geeks? computergeeks.com or geeks.comQuote from: squall_01 on April 08, 2009, 12:46:31 PM
computergeeks.com or geeks.com
They list a total of 6 AGP cards. newegg.com lists 41, and has user reviews, which can be helpful in choosing. Clearly, in no WAY is geeks.com better. price range if you know what you want.Quote from: squall_01 on April 08, 2009, 01:24:52 PM
