Awww.. no AGP slot! I GUESS I was wrong about the Geforce 6800 being AGP huh?! So I guess its a pci 16x card now..Apparently so....

[glb]Flame[/glb]whereis this pc from dell......Actually, it was SUPPOSED to be here on July 11-13, but UPON further inspection, it was shipped out TODAY... It will be in my posession in 3-5 days...

[glb]Flame[/glb]You should have built the computer yourself. Ordering parts takes approximately two works days, building less than 8 hours.I would LOVE to build my own, but I'm not that advanced... I doubt that it would even startup if I built it. Plus, if someting goes bad, it would be up to me to fix it... Where as with Dell, I can have someone come to ME, and fix it here. So it's also a time issue. I know what parts look like, but putting them in the right place....  :-/  Plus the power supply... I know where that goes, but I have to figure out how to get it installed without killing myself... Too much work at this time. Eventually, when this new computer is obsolete, then I probably WILL build my own...

[glb]Flame[/glb]Well, I got it! That was fast! lol  It works like a dream! Thanks for your help guys!

[glb]Flame[/glb]back up all data drivers etc..........burn  copys of the restore disks...... And take pictures of the still dust free fans. You'll never see them as clean as they are now ever again.Damage limitation........how long will it last

bets TAKEN>........two weeks is my guess before it plays up>>>>>sorry flame......I'll see your bet and say 2 weeks and one day!

[glb]Flame[/glb]just joking flame .....maybe you might want to take a look here >>http://forums.us.dell.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=insp_general&message.id=183171&view=by_date_ascending&page=1  prevention is better a cure..or this >Q: Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check for pulse?Yeah thanks! I'll have a look at that... We'll see... it might not last for too much longer than 2 weeks... The STUPID computer came with McAfee Security Center, which I [glb]HATE[/glb] , and I'm taking that off, and installing Norton systemWorks. We'll see how the computer reacts...

[glb]Flame[/glb]Out of the frying pan & into the fire.  *burnt*
