Solve : physical memory dump?

Answer»

ok,i start it from here, this pc was using windows xp sp2,256mb + 128mb Ram,around 2Ghz processor. i have SOMEONE selling me a RAM 512,so i replace the 256mb with the new 512mb ( actually it's a 2nd hand ) then turn on the PC.after the windows loading screen it's going BLACK for a second (like normal ) then appear the blue screen saying that "physical memory dump"..then i guess it could be from the RAM.after that i take out the RAM,try it 1 by 1 with the PC but none of its can bypass the blue screen.i have no idea what to do then i just format the Hard disk, then try the new RAM together with the
128mb after that the 256,it's just fine..so,the question are, what up with the "physical memory dump"?ok go here http://www.memtest86.com/ , and download the program , burn to a CD at a slow speed 6x i think will be fine..... once burnt , reboot with cd in machine , make sure you tap f8 and boot from your dvd/cdrom drive ...... once thats done you should see a blue screen which will run some tests on your memory , come back and give us the results ......

I personally think its better downloading the zipped ISo and burning it with power-iso .......

http://www.poweriso.com/

&

you will need this to open the zipped folder http://www.rarlab.com/

cheers Tony hummm...how can i use the cd?i already solve the problem by formating the PC & now its fine, how should i know what CAUSE it?thats all.by the way,tq 4 replying..Case closed...... when you ask for are help , dont go behind are backs and wipe your computer ........... we have been trying to help you and you did that
