Answer» About 3 months ago, I started having this problem on my laptop. Kind of hard to explain, but basically whenever I click on the left mouse button on my laptop touchpad, it selects the objects twice--as if I double-clicked it. In other words, whenever I click on something, my laptop will double click it instead of just single-clicking it as normal.
The thing is, if I tap the left button on touchpad in a certain way (with a lighter, quicker touch), then it will properly single-click on items. Also, I have it SET to left click if just tap on the ACTUAL touchpad itself, and this works properly.
Have checked my mouse/touchpad options and everything seems set right. Have double-click speed set to pretty fast.
If anyone has any recommendations as to what the problem is, I would greatly appreciate any advice. I have done some searching around for this problem on here and on the web but cannot find anything helpful. Thanks in advance.
OH yeah, almost forgot--my laptop specs:
