says nvidia can not locate any hardware compatilbe with these drivers!! the computer does not know the card is installed or something. Do i need to diable something???Ok are you SURE you inserted it correctly , if its not coming up on set-up then there something wrong with the card itself , or its not in correctly , if you are fa miller with your pci-bus , check and make sure the slot in your computer isn't dusty one spec of dusty on the bottom part of the card could stop it from responding to the computer have a good look inside your computer ........

Tony The problem here MAY be that you need to download a VGA driver from ASUS. Did you install various motherboard drivers after the clean install of Windows?

We need to know the correct MODEL of your motherboard. What you posted is not a valid model number.Quote from: soybean on July 26, 2007, 08:04:20 PM

Tony Is your motherboard K8V-X or K8V-X SE? Richenstony posted a link for K8V-X SE.

Also, the latest nVidia driver, at http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_93.71_2.html, should work for you; the Ti 4200 is specifically listed on the list of Products Supported. Older drivers may also work fine but I wouldn't go all the way back to http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-2k_44.03.html.

How does your Device Manager look? Any exclamation marks in a yellow triangle? Any "unknown devices"? Quote from: soybean on July 27, 2007, 09:17:56 AM
