Solve : Possible HDD woes? |

Answer» Okay so here's the problem. I had two maxtor 500g HDDs hooked up in a RAID 0. The ARRAY failed and now I'm trying to re-install windows Vista, and I want to hook it up minus the RAID array, as it was just too much of a pain in the *censored* for someone with my limited knowledge. So I deleted the array in BIOS and booted up the windows disk to re-install. BIOS ALWAYS shows my both HDDs no matter what Sata plug they're in, but when I get to the windows install it doesn't even see my HDD half of the time, and when it does it fails trying to FORMAT or re-install. So here are my guesses and let me know what think. |
