Solve : POST problem?

Answer»

I am facing three problems :
(1) My monitor is not working, GIVING Sync. Out of Range
(2) I can't enter safe mode
(3) My computer sometimes gives POST error(i haven't count the beeps but they are definitely greater than three)
Now, i don't know what to do.Well, how would you know if you were in safe mode if the display isn't working?

Anyway, try your display on a different system or a different display on your system to make sure that isn't the problem, though my first guess is your graphics card may be on the fritz. Quote from: Allan on July 13, 2010, 09:16:58 AM

Allan ,
I have TRIED the monitor on my laptop and it worked PERFECTLY fine. I have also specified that I am receiving Sync. Out of Range error on the monitor. I don't have a graphic card. Quote from: Dark Sorrow on July 13, 2010, 09:19:36 AM
I don't have a graphic card.

That's your problem then.

All computers have a graphics card. they aren't all actual "cards" but as far as the computer is concerned it's a graphics card.

And given the fact that you are getting the out of range monitor message as well as various POST beeps I would be willing to put MONEY behind it as the cause.

If you don't have an actual card you can install one to take over for your integrated graphics which appear to have failed. Quote from: BC_Programmer on July 13, 2010, 09:28:55 AM

If the display WORKS on another system then you need to replace (or install) a display adapter.
